I left the comfort zone and met new amazing friends with awesome different cultures. It was the best year of my life! The ‘foreign concept’ disappears totally when you’re abroad. Everything has another point of view: you gain new friends, a new taste of music, you try different food, new challenges, you fall in love, and road trips in your free time are the best way to discover and explore. Things will never be the same…

First Time Abroad

Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt 2022

This was my first time when I went abroad. That is how my travel addiction started. Since then I travel Europe by participating in Erasmus+ projects. Life changing experiences and development of my personality. One of the brightest highlights of my life. Picture was taken in year 2022 in Egypt.

Egypt was a very different culture and experience for me, I saw that there was a huge world outside of my own and I wanted to explore and experience it. That’s why I met Erasmus+ Projects.

Why did I want to join?

Important language and inter-personal skills: studies have found students taking part in Erasmus have improved personal and soft skills, self-confidence, intercultural understanding and maturity due to their time spent abroad. My first motivation when participating in erasmus+ projects was to find the opportunity to use English effectively and to interact culturally with different countries.

New experiences, new people

Bansko, Bulgaria 2022

This photo was taken in an Erasmus+ project in Bansko. That day was a cultural night and each country introduced its own country, food and culture.

At a time when I was not ready and had no expectations, this road that I took gave me an experience that I could not even imagine.Apart from the project sessions, the conversations we had with all countries at the dinner table, our fun dances at the culture night, the games we played at the tiny table at night, and more remained in my memory.

It represents a number of things to me: meeting loads of new and different people the excitement of new experiences and the freedom to explore the world!

Erasmus is finding a new home

I stayed for about 10 days in the projects I went to. In this 10-day period, I saw how close and friendly you can be with people you have never met. The country you go to for 10 days becomes your new home. And new friends in your new home!

Erasmus+ can change your life

This particular experience is also able to transmit you feelings of hope optimism and union in a virtuous way to take care of each other. European Union with the Erasmus programme definitely changed my life. I have met many people from different countries and each has inspired me differently.

One of the best benefits of Erasmus Projects was that I definitely learned how to be open minded towards other people…

Once an Erasmus, always Erasmus!

Copenhagen, Denmark 2022

Because life is not meant to be lived in one place. You’ve got more than one home now. You’ve become a travel addict anyway so that’s even better. Mobility is a lifestyle. And this is why you should participate in the Erasmus+ exchange!

“I travel because it makes me realize how much I haven’t seen, how much I’m not going to see, and how much I still need to see.” — Carew Papritz
